Calling All Canadian Nonprofits: 2nd Annual NFP Pulse on Social Media Has Launched! Participate and Get Free Results

OK, if you're reading this blog, you probably know what social media is. On the off-chance you don't, or if you want a refresher, here's a quick video by Common Craft that I think sums it up very nicely.

Social media continues to explode among individuals and organizations across the world. The statistics are truly staggering:  Currently, Facebook has over 500 million active users, and in March, Twitter reported receiving almost 140 million tweets...per day!  Don't even get me started about blogs or the number of new social networking sites popping up with names like Jumo and Quora.

As more people and organizations jump on the social media bandwagon every day, these statistics continue to explode.

This edition of the not-for-profit pulse is a continuation of the inaugural social media survey conducted by the Association Resource Centre in December, 2009.  Building on last year's study, this short survey will look at social media use among Canadian nonprofits and how it has evolved over the past 18 months.

In addition to examining the extent to which Canadian nonprofits are using social media and what tools they are (and are not) using, the survey will also look at how strategic nonprofits are becoming in the social media arena, as well as the extent to which they measure the success of their social media efforts, along with other key indicators.

Please take 5-7 minutes right now to participate in this valuable initiative. Your input will be analyzed along with the results of other not-for-profit professionals with the subsequent analysis shared back with the not-for-profit community on the ARC blog.

Your responses will be kept strictly confidential and, as thanks for your input, you will receive a complimentary PDF copy of the highlight report in early June.

Survey closes on Friday May 20.

Thanks for your participation!
